30 years of Unmad

Popular cartoon magazine "UNMAD" celebrates its 30th year this year. Unmad one of the widely read and most popular cartoon magazine in Bangladesh. This magazine always portrayed contemporary crisis issues with their sharp humorous tone. Unmad had a great contribution in 90s political struggle for democracy in Bangladesh. The exhibition organized by Unmad and Marvel.

Tribute for Sumon Probahon

In memory of recently departed young Poet Sumon Probahon (1976-2008) his friends arranged an informal exhibition and recitation from his poetry, music and songs by contemporary musicians. The tribute will be held at Mollar Dokan/ Chobir Haat tomorrow April 25 Friday from 3pm to 9 pm. Friends, readers, well-wishers cordially requested to attend the programme.

Gallery Ark presents Amirul Rajiv

Ark Gallery of Mermaid Cafe arranged an exhibition title Intelligent Metal Empire (union one) by contemporary photographer Amirul Rajiv from 14 April to 17 April at Cox'sbazaar.  After the group exhibition 'Objects In Mirror' at Drik Gallery from 4 April to 10 April 2008 by Amirul Rajiv, Munem wasif, Sanjida Shahid Sunny and Bruno Ruhf the Amirul Rajiv's part of the exhibition came to Cox'sbazaar. Anisul Haque Chowdhury, Managing Director of Mermaid Cafe and Samiha Alam Bristy Director of Gallery Ark told that "We are happy to present photographer Amirul Rajiv's work.

Digital Film: New technologies, new talents

A discussion on “Digital Film: New Technologies, New Talents” was held at Goethe Institut Bangladesh on September 6. Filmmakers Tareque Masud, Nurul Alam Atique, Mostafa Sarwar Farooqi, Wahed Tarek and Animesh Aich were the key discussants at the programme. Dhaka University Film Society and Goethe Institut Bangladesh jointly arranged the programme.
