Dear Friends,
Today is world photography day. Photographers, editors, activists, educational institutes, agencies, newspapers and various organizations observing that day worldwide. In Bangladesh several programme will be held nationwide. At the evening a presentation of photographers will be held at Drik Picture Library. You are invited to attend that show at Drik Gallery, Dhaka. A photography exhibition marking the world photography day began at Shilpakala Academy Gallery in Dhaka. The exhibition will remain open from 11.00am to 7.00pm daily upto August 25.

373 art works by 247 artists on display till July 16.
Artists from different corners of the country submitted around 1,300 artworks including paintings, prints, sculptures, ceramics and installations. A five-member jury that includes veteran artists of the country have selected the artworks that on display at the biennale.
Veteran artist Aminul Islam is the convenor of the jury committee. Artistes Abu Taher, Mahmudul Haq, Abdus Shakoor Shah and art critic Mainuddin Khaled are other members of the committee.
